Launching New Experiences

We are extremely grateful for all the support we’ve received over the last month since the launch of FYN from HOME… being part of so many of your special occasions, celebrations and meals during lockdown means a lot to us.

We are now excited to launch the next phase in our company’s evolution, a plan that was in the pipeline months before the great pause of 2020. To bring you the best experience possible, we have streamlined our ordering and payment processes, plus we have enhanced our offering with even more FYN experiences. Please find our shiny new shop here which includes Eating, Drinking, some added extras and due to popular demand, FYN’s very own bespoke crockery range by Roche Muller.

But as the restaurant’s holy trinity – food, wine and service – is where our heart is, let’s talk shop…

Each week Pete & Ash endeavor to put their heads together to design a new FYN Experience menu based on the best seasonal produce available to them, as well as their desire to allow you to constantly experience new dishes. This week’s new menu includes Tonkotsu Tortellini, a clever play on the classic Japanese ramen; Juniper grilled springbok with chestnut and wild mushrooms, as well as Madagascan chocolate marquise with yuzu pear and chamomile yoghurt.

New to the shop is the launch of our Lockdown Nigiri; for a limited time, during lockdown, Pete & Ash will be preparing a sleeve of Nigiri Sushi inspired by their time in Japan and their love of local flavors and ingredients. These sleeves are extremely limited and are based on what is freshest from the market on the day, so don’t expect a menu for the omikase nigiri selection until it arrives at your door.

Jennifer and her team have selected wines to perfectly complement the menu which can be found on the new FYN WYN section of the shop. Jennifer’s recommendations will also help you to choose the best bottles to pair with your meal, plus the team remains available to suggest any other wines to meet all tastes and budgets.

The FYN wine list is available on request and there is sure to be something to suit all palates.

The 5 course FYN Winter Experience is available from Tuesday to Saturday and priced at R595 per person. Orders close at 5pm on the previous day. 

Wine deliveries from Tuesday to Thursday,  on-the-day orders are welcome.

Keeping our guests and our staff safe during these unprecedented times is our absolute priority. We are operating with as minimal staff levels as possible to allow for social distancing and maintain the strictest levels of hygiene checks at all times. We also encourage ‘no-contact’ collections from street level at 37 Parliament St. Cape Town.
